Remy Heise is a working professional and sociology student committed to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals navigating their mental health journeys. As a gay, transgender man born and raised in Pennsylvania, he remains passionate about uplifting marginalized communities, redefining gender norms, and working towards collective community healing. 

Remy began his journey in human services as a behavioral health technician at an inpatient, dual-diagnosis drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Pennsylvania. Through his work as a BHT, he gained firsthand knowledge on the process of addiction recovery, and deepened his understanding on the importance of transformative social and political justice. His core values of community support, honoring queer history, connecting to nature, and creative healing shape his professional approach – allowing him to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for anyone who may need it. 

Outside of work, Remy enjoys reading queer literature, creating crochet projects, and swimming in the ocean
